Bullitt Central FFA       

RULES:  (See Livestock Rules for Health Requirements)

1. All animals must comply with health regulations as stated elsewhere in this catalog.

2. All animals entered for exhibit must be on grounds by 4:30 p.m. day of show.

3. All open exhibitors limited to two ribbons and two premium in each class.

4. Due to number of breeds, the Committee reserves the right to combine breeds and classes in order to have a minimum of three animals in each class. When this rule is not feasible second place money will be awarded.

5. Exhibitor must present a copy of calf’s papers at registration to clarify age and class.

6. Bullitt County Fair Board is not responsible for any loss or accident at the show or on the grounds.

7. 7. Premiums: all breeds or classes: $20, $15, $10, $5              (unless Rule 4 applies)

 

 YOUTH DIVISION

1.Exhibitors must be FFA or 4-H members at the time of entry. Entries will also be accepted from members of a bona fide beef cattle breed association and who have not reached their 21st birthday by the date of the show.

2.Youth exhibitor must show own animal.

3.Premiums per class: $5, $3, $2.

4.Only one entry per class.

5.All youth exhibitors will receive a free tee-shirt compliments of Farm Credit Services.

 

SHOWMANSHIP CLASSES

        Junior Showmanship – 9 years to 13 years

     Senior Showmanship – 14 years to 21 years

     Kiddie Showmanship – 8 years & Under     

 

THE FOLLOWING CLASSES APPLY TO ALL OPEN AND YOUTH BREEDS/GROUPED BREEDS

1. Spring Heifer calves, calved after March 1, 2010

2. Junior Heifer calves, calved between January 1, 2010 and February 28, 2010

3. Winter Heifer calves, calved between November 1 and December 31, 2009

4. Senior Heifer calves, calved between September 1 and October 31, 2009

5. Late Summer Yearling heifers, calved between July 1 and August 31, 2009

6. Early Summer Yearling heifers, calved between May 1 and June 30, 2009

7. Late Junior Yearling heifers, calved between March 1 and April 30, 2010

8. Early Junior Yearling heifers, calved between January 1 and February 28, 2009

9. Senior Yearling Heifers, calved between September 1 and December 31, 2008

10. 10. Cow/Calf Class – Any age

 

 

GRAND CHAMPION BREED HEIFER from classes 1-9

 

RESERVE GRAND BREED CHAMPION – from classes 1-9, except Reserve Champion will have the second place winner of Grand Champion Class compete for Reserve.

First place bulls from classes 1-3

Bull classes will be divided upon registration

 

Any situation not covered in the Bullitt County Fair rules will be handled by the local Beef Show Committee. The Committee reserves the right to cancel any or all classes in the event of unfavorable circumstances, such as weather, etc.
